Several people were injured after the Norwegian Escape cruise ship was rocked by mother nature. The extreme gusts of wind reached 100 knots causing the ship to tilt on its left side. Some passengers during Sunday's voyage described seeing chairs, tables and people flying from one side of the ship to the other.

"Several injuries were reported and those guests and crew received immediate attention or they were treated by the ship’s medical staff. There is no damage to the ship; she remains fully operational and continued her scheduled itinerary," said Norwegian Cruise Line.

The ship was at the beginning of a seven-night cruise that departed from New York City with scheduled stops in Port Canaveral on Central Florida’s Atlantic Coast and the Bahamas before returning to the Big Apple.
