Federal government workers in South Florida are finding paying their bills and putting food on their tables aren't their only challenge right now as a second pay period comes and goes without any money going into their bank accounts.
The Humane Society of Broward County has a temporary pet food pantry and basic animal care services, free of charge, available to families affected by the partial government shutdown. They're also making sure pets with expiring vaccinations are getting their shots on time.

The Humane Society also helps the pets of Meals on Wheels recipients.
