Fort Lauderdale police detectives are searching for the driver who hit a 14-year-old riding an electric scooter and fled.
The crash happened early Saturday morning just before 4:00 in the 600 block of North Federal Highway.
Investigators say the maroon sedan - possibly an Acura - was last seen heading into Holiday Park.
It likely has severe damage to the front end and windshield.
The teen remains in the hospital in critical condition.
