Voting Options Extended In 8 FL Counties Impacted By Hurricane Michael

Elections officers in eight Panhandle counties hit by Hurricane Michael now have the authority to extend and enhance voting options.

Governor Scott signed an executive order allowing supervisors of elections to extend early voting, open more early voting locations, and even allow for forwarding of mail-in ballots.

Voting by fax or email are still not allowed.

Thousands of voters have been displaced by the storm.

Florida's Secretary of State is also working with the Post Office to make sure mail-in ballots are delivered properly.
