Miami-Dade Officers Head North To Assist With Hurricane Michael

Dozens of Miami-Dade police officers were traveling up to the Florida Panhandle earlier Tuesday to offer relief to the local police officers working long hours since Hurricane Michael blew through.

The Police Officer Assistance Trust team is bringing with them equipment and supplies to help in the recovery mission.

The Trust helped Miami-Dade's more than 900 officers following Hurricane Andrew in 1992
