Miami-Dade Officer Accused Of Punching Cuffed Suspect In Face

A Miami-Dade Police officer is accused of hitting a handcuffed suspect.

The incident in question took place last March 15th as police raided a home near Northwest 28th Street and 25th Avenue.

At that time, suspect Brian Crespo was arrested for allegedly planning to sell stolen airbags.

The 18-year-old's attorney says video from the incident shows an officer punching him in the face.

A police spokesman says the department is conducting a criminal investigation of the officer's actions, which he said are extremely disturbing and in no way represent the agency's core values.
