Court Rules Against PETA's Mission To Get Lolita The Whale Released

Lolita, the killer whale at the Miami Seaquarium, won't be going anywhere soon.

The federal appeals court in Miami ruled against PETA in its attempts to get the whale released back into the ocean.

In their 9-page ruling, the court said that because Lolita is 51-years-old and has been raised in captivity for 48-years, there's "no realistic means" of returning her to the wild.

The court also found that there is no evidence to suggest that Lolita is being mistreated at The Seaquarium.

Multiple groups have long been protesting for Lolita to be released.
