Miami Police Tweak Contract Language To Better Explain Officer Drug Use

Miami Police are dropping new contract language that would let officers stay on their jobs... even if they're caught doing illegal drugs.

The "Miami new Times" obtained a copy of a proposed contract that would have let cops caught using drugs keep their jobs if they agree to go to rehab.

According to the paper, the new version of the proposed contract drops that language.

Both the chief and members of the union said the proposed contract language could be sending the wrong message to officers.
