Gas Prices Are Holding Steady In Florida After Recent Increases

Gas prices in Florida are holding steady after a 10-cent jump two weeks ago.

Triple-A reports that Monday's statewide average for a gallon of regular is $2.82, the same as last week, but up four cents from a month ago and 27 cents higher than a year ago.

The most expensive gas price averages in Florida are in West Palm Beach-Boca Raton at $2.92 a gallon and Miami and Crestview-Fort Walton Beach at $2.87.

The least expensive averages are in Punta Gordan at $2.76 and in Tampa-St. Petersburg and Orlando at $2.77 a gallon.

Triple-A says motorists are paying higher-than-normal prices at the pump for this time of year because of the impact of global supply and demand concerns on oil prices.
