Monroe County Sheriff's Office investigators believe they have solved the case of a Marathon woman who was attacked with a machete while on her sailboat.
They say a man, whom she may have dated, attacked her on her boat and then sailed off in a dinghy.
The blood-covered dinghy was found in the mangroves on Boot Key.
His body was discovered the next morning.
The 45-year-old woman is recovering in a Miami hospital.
