Steps are being taken to avoid a repeat of what happened in the last election in Broward County.
Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes this week requested that the county buy more equipment to speed up the vote-counting process.
In the August primaries, Broward didn't finish counting votes until the following day.
Snipes believes more high-speed scanners are needed.
November's election will feature a six-page ballot, and Snipes also believes there will be higher turnout.
