A couple of newlyweds are back on U.S. soil -- and behind bars -- after they allegedly stole a boat moored off the Little Torch Key in March and sailed to Cuba.
According to the Miami Herald, Aaron Burmeister and Ashley McNeil thought the 40-foot catamaran had been abandoned when they took it and set off towards Cuba.
The couple told investigators they planned to return the $350,000 boat after their honeymoon.
They were taken into custody in Cuba while trying to refuel in April.
They were flown back to Miami last week and arrested at the airport.
