Local Venezuelan groups protested Wednesday outside the South Florida steakhouse owned by the popular chef known as "Salt Bae" after footage emerged showing him serving President Nicolas Maduro.
An Instagram video showed Maduro visiting the famed Nusr-Et steakhouse in Istanbul when he stopped over briefly in Turkey on the way home from a trip to China to raise badly needed investment.
In the video, Maduro is seen puffing on a cigar while he and first lady Cilia Flores watch owner Nusret "Salt Bae" Gokce slicing meat.
The post was later deleted.
Venezuela is not only suffering an economic crisis at the mment, but millions of Venezuelans have little access to food and medicine.
The protest was scheduled for noon at the restaurant on Brickell Avenue.
