Florida Governor Rick Scott now says the woman accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault should have a fair hearing.
In a statement, Scott said Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's allegations are "very serious" and should have been investigated months ago.
Scott accused Senator Diane Feinstein of pulling what he called, "a slick Washington trick" by releasing the allegations so close to the scheduled vote.
Incumbent Senator Bill Nelson tweeted that he also wants a full investigation of the allegations and is waiting for a private meeting with the judge.
