The company that owns the Brightline train system is buying another train system on the other side of the country.
Brightline announced on Tuesday morning that it's buying XpressWest, a high-speed rail project that will connect Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
The company is buying nearly 40-acres of land just off the Vegas strip where it can build a new transportation hub.
Construction will begin next year with the first phase set to debut in 2022.
