Miami-Dade police are investigating after a video surfaced showing an officer striking a handcuffed suspect in the face.
According to CBS 4 News in Miami, the cell phone video shows Miami-Dade police officers arresting Jacksonville Gaston.
While Gaston is cuffed, one of the officers grabs Gaston by the throat and hits him in the face. Police had stopped Gaston, who was arguing with a woman in his car.
Gaston reportedly got out, and police say he kicked and tried to punch the officers. A witness also says Gaston was being unruly.
The Miami-Dade Police Department says it's investigating to see whether the officers followed proper procedures.
