Trump Calls For End Of Russia Investigation, Calls It A "TOTAL HOAX"

President Donald Trump wants Attorney General Jeff Sessions to end the Russia investigation.

Trump tweeted on Wednesday that the ongoing investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election is a "terrible situation."

He again argued that any allegation of collusion is a "TOTAL HOAX."

Trump repeated an argument that the investigation is a "rigged witch hunt." He also accused Special Counsel Robert Mueller of being "totally conflicted" and said Mueller employs "17 angry Democrats" to do his "dirty work."

Attorney General Sessions recused himself from the Russia probe in 2017. He did so because of his close ties to the Trump presidential campaign.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein oversees Mueller's work.  Trump chose Rosenstein, who hired Mueller after the President fired FBI Director James Comey.
