Florida Juvenile Justice Director Announces Resignation

The woman running Florida's Juvenile Justice system is stepping down.

Christina Daly announced that she will leave her position at the end of the month of August.

During four years with the DJJ, Daly was praised for her work to steer non-violent teens into diversion programs.

But during her tenure, three youths died in state custody and she was accused of ignoring abuse by some staffers.

Many agency heads are submitting their resignations as Governor Scott's term in office comes to an end.
