Former Florida state Senator Jack Latvala has been cleared of criminal charges.
Latvala was a candidate for governor until early this year, when he resigned from the state Senate and ended his bid due to allegations he sexually harassed legislative staff and traded votes for sexual favors from a lobbyist.
The state's attorney has determined that there is not sufficient evidence to prove Latvala was illegally compensated, so he won't be charged for trading votes.
A lawyer for one of Latvala's accusers points out that a Senate investigation found that sexual harassment did occur.
