SoFla Residents To Be Reimbursed For Trees Lost To Citrus Canker

South Florida residents who lost their trees in the failed fight against Citrus Canker will reportedly be receiving their checks soon.

The Sun-Sentinel reports that the state turned over nearly $52 Million last week to the lawyers representing nearly 85,000 households in Broward and Palm Beach counties.

The exact amount residents will receive has not been reveled just yet.

Officials say the checks will likely be sent out in October under court supervision.
