Those Arrested In SoFla ICE Protests Released From Jail

Seventeen individuals were released from jail on Thursday after spending the night behind bars following a protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Protesters from the group Circle of Protection were arrested in Miramar on Wednesday. This group, along with others, blocked an intersection outside the ICE office.

They also protested immigration polices and the separation of families entering the U.S.

Miramar Police said those arrested have been charged with unlawful assembly and obstructing a highway or roadway.

Those released on Thursday were greeted by cheers from their fellow protesters. They said it was all worth it to get their message out.
