A free diver is in the hospital after authorities say he got into trouble while diving off a boat's edge on the coast of Jupiter.
According to local officials, two young men were diving Monday morning when one went unconscious and started sinking in 60 feet of water.
His friend pulled him up to their boat, called 911, and started CPR.
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office dispatched its marine unit and took the unconscious man back to shore.
The victim was then transported to St. Mary's Medical Center. He is said to be in very serious condition.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or the nature of the fall.
