Authorities say a car ran over two sunbathers who were trying to relax at a Florida beach Thursday.
The injuries occurred on New Smyrna Beach.
Volusia County Beach Safety Ocean Rescue says a 78-year-old man apparently suffered a medical episode, causing him to lose control of his vehicle, travel onto the beach, and hit the two people.
A passenger in the vehicle managed to grab the wheel and turn the car back onto the main driving lane.
The injuries to the two sunbathers weren't considered life-threatening.
