A fisherman on Monday made a “high” catch on the water off Pompano Beach.
Jorge Bustamante said he hooked and reeled in a big bale of marijuana.
Bustamante notified the Coast Guard.
A USCG crew came to pick up the bale, nicknamed “square grouper” by officials.
Bustamante, who was also celebrating his birthday on Monday, called the unusual catch his “Pablo Escobar birthday present.”
