Rubio, Senators Weigh In On Sadler's Comment About Sen. John McCain

More Senators, including those from Florida, are commenting about an insensitive remark from White House staffer Kelly Sadler about ailing Senator John McCain.

Florida Republican Senator Marco Rubio says the remark is more about how politics has become with anger and bitterness.

Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley says he would have apologize to McCain if he said that remark.

Sadler was discussing McCain's opposition to CIA director nominee Gina Haspel in a meeting last week when she reportedly said -- "It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway."

The White House says the matter is being handled as "an internal matter."

White House staffer Kelly Sadler has not publicly apologized, but gave an apology to McCain's daughter Meghan.

The 81-year-old McCain is fighting brain cancer at his Arizona home.
