Authorities say they took an Islamorada woman into custody on Sunday after she offered oral sex to a 12-year-old girl.
Monroe County Sheriff's officials said the girl's father left her and another child with the suspect, 32-year-old Sara Jane Kane, while he went to the grocery store.
Authorities described Kane as a "family friend" who was staying at the victim's home.
According to detectives, the girl told her father and deputies that Kane tried to pull down her pants and asked to perform oral sex on her.
Authorities say Kane denied the allegations.
She was booked into jail on a charge of sexual abuse of a minor.
