Rescued Sea Turtle Makes Her Way Back To The Ocean In The Keys

A sea turtle that was rescued after getting caught in a fishing line in the lower Florida Keys is back in the ocean.

The 150-pound sub-adult loggerhead turtle named "Judy" had to have a rear flipper amputated. But she was nursed back to health at The Turtle Hospital in Marathon.

Judy was released back into the ocean on Saturday by her rehabilitators.

Turtle Hospital manager Bette Zirkelbach said it was special to release Judy on Mother's Day weekend, knowing that when she hits maturity, "she's gonna be laying eggs."
