Female's Body Found In Florida Pond Near Where Male Teen Went Missing

Authorities with the Orange county Sheriff's Officer say they have found a female's body in a Central Florida pond where they were searching for a teen (male) who went missing Wednesday.

Officials held a Thursday morning press conference detailing the latest developments. They say the victim was a women, in her late teens or early 20s, who appears to be a dark-skinned Spanish or black female. They have not yet identified exactly who the victim is.

The body that has been found is not that of a 15-year-old boy who was reported missing in the pond in Orlando.

Orange County Fire Rescue and Sheriff's Office deputies responded to search for the male teen along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation officials.

One witness said they saw the teen flailing in the water and yelling "it bit me, it bit me," officials said, insinuating that he may have been attacked by an alligator.

Officials say the body that has been found has no evidence of an alligator attack or confrontation. The case of the body that has been found is now considered a death investigation.
