Update: Driver In Crash At Miami Police Substation Identified

Fire rescue officials in the City of Miami responded Friday morning to reports of a person being pinned between a car and a wall. 

Authorities said the car crashed into the side of a police building near 62nd Street and Northwest 10th Avenue just after 7 a.m.

The car involve in the crash was being driven by 36-year-old Giftson Cherenfant, according to authorities. 

According to Chief of Police Jorge Colina, the crash was intentional. Authorities uncovered a inside of Cherenfant's car. 

Colina says the suspect's family said he'd been acting weird for the past few days. Cherenfant was taken to the hospital. Charges are pending. 

Additionally, units discovered another person who was pinned between the vehicle and the wall of the building.

The condition of the victim remains unknown, but fire rescue officials say it may be serious.
