Maine Mayor Under Fire For Telling MSD Shooting Survivor To "Eat It"

A mayor in Maine is under fire after tweeting a message that made fun of a Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting survivor.

Waterville, Maine, officials are reportedly calling on Republican Mayor Nick Isgro to resign.

Isgro allegedly wrote in a now-deleted tweet earlier this week that Parkland student David Hogg should "eat it, Hogg."

The post was in response to an article about Fox News backing host Laura Ingraham, who lost over a dozen advertisers after mocking Hogg online.

Four Democratic city councilors condemned Isgro's comments on Thursday.

Isgro declined to comment when he was contacted on Facebook.
