SoFla Woman Charged With Attempted Murder In Opa-Locka Shooting

A South Florida woman is accused of shooting a man during an argument in Opa-locka over the weekend.

According to an arrest report, 25-year-old Alexis Finch was arrested on charges including attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery in the Saturday afternoon incident in the 13100 block of Alexandria Drive.

Responding officers found the man on the ground holding his injured leg.

According to the report, the man said he was approached by Finch. The two got into a verbal altercation and then, at one point, Finch pulled out a gun and shot him in the thigh.

When officers found Finch she claimed she shot the man in self-defense, but security footage showed the man was trying to cross his arms when he was shot, the report said.

Finch was being held without bond Monday, jail records showed.
