Study Suggests To Exercise For At Least 20 Mins Each Day For Longer Life

Exercising less than 20 minutes a day is linked to a shorter lifespan.

That's according to researchers with the Duke University School of Medicine and the National Cancer Institute who looked into how much the duration of an exercise session affects long-term health.

They studied nearly 5,000 adults 40-years-old and older.

Participants were asked to wear devices that tracked how often they moved and determined how long they exercised.

The researchers found people who got less than 20 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity had the highest risk of death.

Moral of the story: get moving when you can!
