I-95 SB Shut Down In Hallandale Due To Spill Of Hazardous Materials

Interstate-95 southbound lanes near Hallandale Beach Boulevard are closed due to an overturned tanker that leaked hundreds of gallons of fuel across the highway.

Three lanes are currently shut down due to the accident involving hazardous materials. 

The accident is beyond exit 18 on I-95 in Hallandale. 

Northbound traffic is moving, but alternate routes are advised if you plan to travel south. Alternates include: 

  • Federal Highway
  • US 441
  • The Turnpike 

The Golden Glades and Hollywood Tri-Rail stations will be impacted for six to eight hours due to the spill, a spokesperson said.
