The City of Sweetwater will hold a special Telephone Town Hall meeting for all residents at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Sweetwater officials say they will be sharing important, factual public information about the flow of traffic through the town in the wake of last week's tragic pedestrian bridge collapse near the Florida International University campus.
In a statement Wednesday, officials say they will not be able to answer questions about the incident itself. "Those issues are under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board and Miami-Dade Police," reads the statement. "However, we will provide you with information on traffic flow, city/campus access, and events to help the community recover from this tragedy"

Those that sign up will receive a phone call once the meeting begins on Thursday evening.
