Police are investigating an overnight car fire that resulted in a woman's death.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers and fire and rescue crews arrived at the scene along the Killian Parkway near SW 98th Avenue around 1:30 a.m.
FHP officials say a Nissan struck a tree, quickly catching fire as a result.
The victim - reportedly a 17-year-old who was heading to a family friend's house - was reportedly pulled out of the vehicle by crews, but FHP officials confirmed that she died.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Officials have not confirmed the victim's identity.
Killian Parkway was closed closed in both directions for over four hours as troopers continued their investigation.
