More People Destroying Their Firearms To Protest Mass Shootings

Here are just a few examples:

  • A New York man has chopped up his AR-15 rifle posted a video of it on Facebook
  • A woman in Connecticut did the same with her handgun
  • Near the Parkland high school where a teenager with an AR-15 killed 17 people, another man brought his assault weapon to police to destroy

A growing number of gun owners are destroying weapons to protest mass shootings, and posting about it with the hashtag #oneless.

Scott Pappalardo put a saw to the Eagle AR-15 he's owned for 30 years.

He says he's a firm believer in the Second Amendment, but despite how people blame mental illness, video games or bad parenting for mass shootings, it's ultimately "a gun like this one that takes away the lives.'
