If you'd like to become a U.S. citizen, the Archdiocese of Miami's Catholic Legal Services is hosting a citizenship event Saturday.
"It's for people who are lawful permanent residents of the United States and have been in that status for at least five years," said Ana Quiros, Managing Attorney Catholic Legal Services.
She says with the Trump Administration's stance on immigration, it's important for legal permanent residents to become United States Citizens.
"When you're a lawful permanent resident, you must maintain status and a lot of people forget that or they don't understand that concept. Let's say you get arrested, that could maybe, potentially place you into removal proceedings or deportation proceedings," said Quiros.
Immigration attorneys will also be on site for free legal consultations.
