FSU President: Ban On Greek Life May Come To An End

Florida State University President John Thrasher says he could soon lift his order suspending Greek activities on campus.

However, Thrasher told members of the Capital Tiger Bay Club that the national organizations behind the fraternities and sororities have to step up their oversight of local chapters.

Greek life activities were suspended from campus in November when 20-year-old Pi Kappa Phi pledge Andrew Coffey died of alcohol poisoning at an off-campus party.

Nine members of the fraternity are charged with felony hazing.
