Florida Well Represented At U.S. Conference Of Mayors

The winter U.S. Conference of Mayors is taking place this week in Washington and Florida is well-represented.

Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber says one topic at the conference is resilience, which involves looking at how to meet both immediate and long-term challenges and bounce back from them.

Gelber cites the example of Miami Beach dealing with rising sea level by raising more than 60 miles of streets at a cost of almost a half-billion dollars.

The Conference of Mayors runs through Friday.
