Police are currently investigating after divers found the body of a person floating in the waters near Lauderdale by The Sea early Friday morning.
The body was found near Commercial Boulevard in the Intercoastal Waterway around 6:30 a.m.
Officials were seen taking the body to a nearby Broward Sheriff’s Office boat.
Police have not released any additional information about the finding, including the identity of the body found.
