FWC Continues Search For Missing Boater Out Of Lake Okeechobee

The story involving a fisherman who went missing during a tournament at Lake Okeechobee is changing.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission originally reported that the boat on which Nik Kayler of Apopka and Bill Kisiah were fishing on Thursday capsized.

The FWC now says that Kayler was ejected when the boat hit a wave and Kisiah was unable to rescue him because of "suspected engine damage and conditions."

Kisiah drifted in the boat until it made landfall; searchers have yet to locate Kayler.
