A Florida woman is facing a felony neglect charge after authorities say she withheld food and medication from her 8-year-old son with cerebral palsy.
Linda Courter, 39, was arrested Thursday after child protective investigators removed three children from her care.
Pinellas County deputies allege Courter wasn’t caring for her children -- instead, supporting her drug addiction.
The arrest report said the boy with cerebral palsy was malnourished and his bones were protruding. It said he was pale, very lethargic and had a dirty diaper.
Courter has been released on $50,000 bond.
