Five people were rushed to the hospital after being shot in a residential, Northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood on Tuesday night, police said.
Police arrived near Northwest 18th Avenue and 86th Terrace just after 8:15 p.m.
According to investigators, the victims were made up of :
- One woman
- Three men
- A 17-year-old male
The victims were all reportedly standing outside when someone opened fire and they scattered.
Paramedics transported the victims to area hospitals. Officials said the victims are “stable,” but did not elaborate.
Minutes later, shots rang out along Northwest 17th Avenue, just two blocks away from the crime scene. Authorities believe both shootings are connected, however, no one was injured in the second instance.
Officials have not provided further details about the person or people behind this shooting or the circumstances leading up to the incident.
It remains unclear whether the victims were the subjects’ intended targets.
