A Space Coast man is facing criminal mischief charges after police say he beat up an ATM machine that gave him too much cash.
Michael Joseph Oleksik, 23, told Cocoa police he pummeled the money machine outside a Wells Fargo branch because it was giving him too much money and he didn't know what to do.
He later called the bank and apologized to a manager.
The man did at least $5,000 in damage to the ATM.
After Wells Fargo decided to press charges, Oleksik was arrested Friday and released on $2,000 bail.
