Disney Workers To Vote On Pay Raise

Some 38,000 unionized workers at Walt Disney World are voting on a new contract today (Tuesday).

The union is demanding that the average worker's pay be increased to $15 an hour and says Disney's offer is not enough to support families.

Disney officials said cast members deserve a raise, which is why they're offering one along with a bonus.

The company is proposing increases of six-to-ten percent over two years, with the starting rate remaining at $10 an hour (and no increase to health care costs).

The voting will continue through tomorrow night at 55 locations around Disney World.
