The store clerk in a Weston Walgreens was no match for a would-be criminal. The clerk refused to be victimized by staring down the perp and the barrel of his gun.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon in the Walgreens located at 1751 Bonaventure Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a male in his 20s with a dark complexion who is about five feet nine inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, according to the Broward Sheriff's office. He wore a red Columbia hoodie and a baseball cap.
"As the employee rang up his items, the thief pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded the money from the register. The stoic clerk stood in quiet resistance," BSO said.
"Possibly in disbelief, the armed robber made his demands again. The clerk remained unchanged. He didn't speak. He didn't move. He simply stared back at the armed man almost expressionless."
The thief grabbed the shopping bag and fled.
