The Archdiocese of Miami will be getting a new auxiliary bishop Thursday.
Enrique Delgado will be ordained this afternoon... becoming the first Peruvian-born bishop in the United States.
Delgado, 61, will join Bishop Peter Baldacchino, ordained three years ago as auxiliary bishop, as second-in-command to Archbishop Thomas Wenski, leading more than 1.3 million Catholics in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties.
Pope Francis appointed Delgado back in October.
He will be officially ordained at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Cathedral.
