Two inmates at Miami-Dade County's Pre-Trial Detention Center have been charged with attacking a fellow detainee.
Ronald Brunson, 20, and Billy Lee Worthy, 22, allegedly attacked 37-year-old Byron Mitchell early Thursday -- kicking, punching and pushing him to the floor.
Video from corrections officers wearing body camera was used to confirm the attack.
Mitchell agreed to press charges.
In addition to the assault charges, Brunson is accused of lewd or lascivious exhibition. Worthy is accused of armed robbery and carjacking.
Mitchell is charged with attempted murder. Police said he attacked his roommate, Danielle Jones, on Valentine's Day 2016. Jones, who met Mitchell through a Craigslist ad, spent 24 days in a coma after the attack.
