A train carrying molten sulfur derailed Monday morning in Florida.
Polk County Fire Rescue officials said firefighters were driving just before 2 a.m. when they noticed the derailed train near Lakeland.
Firefighters extinguished a small fire, then went door-to-door to notify residents who they asked to close their windows and turn off their air conditioners.
CSX Transportation officials and authorities were working to clean the molten sulfur and remove the damaged train cars.
No injuries have been reported.
