A Thursday night shooting left one dead and another injured in Lauderhill, police said.
The shooting was reported about 7:45 p.m. outside a home on Northwest Second Street.
Officers allegedly found one man dead and another wounded. The wounded man was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.
Residents of the area said it's likely that the two men, who were shot inside of a car, knew the shooter.
Police said they have detained a person of interest who was cooperating and were in possession of a weapon.
